La Fabuloserie Hiroyuki Doi in Tokyountil June 17, 2018 The circle drawings of Japanese self-taught artist Hiroyuki Doi are shown in "Now and the Past" at Repi Doll, Takeshitadori, Tokyo. A chef-turned-artist, Hiroyuki Doi always dreamed of being an artist and taught himself to drawn and paint since he was a little boy. In his art, Doi alludes to such subjects as the soul, the transmigration of the soul, the cosmos, human dialog, the co-existence of living creatures and universal peace. He does so by creating images that consist of many small circles made with black-ink drawing pens on washi. He continues to create his unique circle drawings every day.
