Head bush on June 8 to Ubobo Bush Festival

The Boyne Valley will be the focus of local Queensland Week celebrations at the Ubobo Bush Festival at the township's Memorial Grounds on Saturday, June 8.

An extensive list of entertainment and attractions has been organised, including market stalls, the Gladstone Area Water Board Ubobo Fun Run, an animal petting pen, bush poets, local talent and the opening of the 25 year time capsule.

Coastal erosion forces vehicle access closure

The existing vehicle access point at Rules Beach will not be reopened.

Coastal erosion has contributed to the loss of foreshore and beach, including the area which has for years provided vehicular access to Deepwater National Park.

Council is investigating the possibility of other access options to this area.

Pedestrian access to Rules Beach has been restored with the walkway installed at the same location as the previous structure. Read more…
