Acting Dean appointed for School of Art & Design

Professor Jeanette Paul has been appointed Acting Dean of the School of Art & Design. Jeanette will fill the role until the return of Professor Paul Harris from an extended period of absence.

Janice Aitken has been appointed as Acting Deputy Dean for the School.

The History of Nearly Everything

The extraordinary (and completely fictitious) scientific career of Sir Gavin Hawkly-Longfarthing was revealed to the world by author Reif Larsen in a highly popular and utterly baffling exhibition in the Tower Foyer in 2015.

Reif has now produced a short publication featuring all the text and objects from the show plus a few things that never made it in.

It is available to buy for £4 from the Museum Services office or online.

Former CALS staff

A former member of staff in CALS (Centre for Applied Language Studies) is trying to arrange a reunion, especially as a new restaurant opens in their old building, Caird House. If you worked in CALS, or know someone who did, please contact her daughter, Dawn Campbell d.v.campbell@dundee.ac.uk
