Library Extension Update...

 

Here's the latest fortnightly update for the Library Extension Construction Project.


Every two weeks you'll receive the latest news in relation to these works. The information below comes straight from the contractor and is only up to date at the time we send it, so please be aware that dates and activities listed here may change.

Latest Update...

 

Week Commencing 2nd December to Week Commencing 9th December 19.

Excavation Works

The noisy works to excavate large quantities of concrete from beneath the ground have comepleted. Thank you for your patience as we removed this. 

Between now and Christmas, 'underpinning' will take place which will cause minimal noise and disruption to the Library and surrounding buildings.

Fire Escape

The works to divert a fire escape to the rear of the Library have now completed and signage is in place. Staff in the Library should be made aware of the new route in the event of an emergency. 

Please note that a Time-lapse camera is in operation on Library Avenue. The camera takes still photography and does not provide a live feed. Periodically, the footage is downloaded by the Facilities Marketing & Communications team and is used for marketing and communication purposes.
