Applications close next month for The Director Programme to start in January 2016

The Director programme is for all senior executive leaders with two years or more experience, seeking further role development and support.

It’s an opportunity for you to work in partnership to make leadership in the health system more inclusive and representative of the communities it services. The programme aims to develop leaders who are more innovative and can create a climate where innovation can flourish.

“It enables me to see the finance director’s perspective. The chief nursing officer’s perspective, the policy maker’s perspective. That gives you a much more rounded 360 degree view why change is needed to occur.Steve Feast, Executive Medical Director, North East London NHS Foundation Trust

Places are still available to start the programme in January. To find out more, please call 0113 322 5699 or click here for more information and apply.

The foundations of leadership: applications are now open for Edward Jenner Advanced

Designed for colleagues who are new to health and care or an aspiring leader at the start of your leadership journey.

The Edward Jenner programme is delivered in two stages. The first stage made up of ‘Launch and Foundations’ is online, free to access and can be studied in your own time. There is then the option for further study with Edward Jenner Advanced. This costs £350 and delivered using a blended approach of on-line learning and 3 face to face workshops over 3 months. The programme will enable you to continually apply new skills in-role whilst learning and make immediate improvements to patient care whilst also offering support and learning to build personal resilience and confidence.

"I can see that leadership has no such parameters: leadership is not synonymous with management and it is not confined to an individual's team or department; it transcends hierarchical structures because leaders can be found at all levels - including front line leadership - and adds value."
