Alumnus establishes bursary to help students

An alumnus of the University has set up a bursary to help current students who are following in his footsteps.

David Peattie graduated in 1976 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Economics. He is now the Chief Executive of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and has spent his career tackling complex commercial and engineering challenges throughout the world.

David has chosen to give back to a student who is studying Mechanical Engineering and wants to ensure that money is not a barrier to accessing the opportunities a university education offers. Recipients will receive £1,000 per year for all four years of their undergraduate study.

The first recipient is 18-year-old Cameron Majcherek from Arbroath.
