Works underway

Work is steaming ahead in Munro Martin Parklands with the amphitheatre and pergolas really starting to take shape.

Works over the next two weeks will:

  • Continue the gabion baskets for the retaining wall (Sheridan St)
  • Continue installation of pergola frames
  • Start installation of electrical conduits for up-lights for the tees and pole lights
  • Continue with concrete terrace walls for the amphitheatre
  • Start installation of water mains within the park.

Grafton/Minnie intersection

Council is also doing sewer works in Grafton Street. The work has been scheduled to coincide with the Munro Martin Parklands project to limit disruptions to nearby residents and businesses.

To ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians, vehicles travelling on Minnie Street, from Sheridan Street towards the Esplanade, will only be able to turn left at Grafton Street (no through traffic or right hand turn). All other traffic flows remain as normal.

We apologise for the inconvenience.
