No Images? Click here The final two weeks of term have continued to be very full with lots of activities happening across all year groups. Last week thirteen candidates presented speeches to the school assembly in an effort to be named as School Captains or Vice Captains. Many of these students have also nominated to be House Leaders for Camden, Haven Taylor and Watson Houses. All candidates spoke very well and the school will have a quality team as role models and leaders for the remainder of this year and 2020. Successful applicants for these positions were announced at the Graduation Ceremony, which took place this week. A big congratulations to the successful candidates! A Farm Fit Day was also held last week to raise funds to donate to Rural Aid. This was a wellbeing event to promote, fun, fitness, collaboration and cooperation between students from all years and staff. A fun time was had by all with some hard work put in, with wheelbarrow races, bungee rope and line dancing being particularly popular on the day. Our Senior Girls Volleyball Team continued on their winning run at the competition held in Coffs Harbour last week. They won all sets and games on the day. The School Cup Assembly held on Tuesday saw a large number of students recognised for their efforts. It was fantastic to see so many parents, family and friends joining the celebrations. All the students should be proud of their achievements and for being nominated and receiving those awards. The Graduation Ceremony for Year 12 was the highlight of this week. It was very pleasing to welcome students who study by distance with their families to join in the celebrations along with our students who attend onsite. All students were recognised for the successful completion of their schooling, and those students who have excelled in various fields were acknowledged for their outstanding achievements. All the Practical Examinations for Year 12 students were completed, and all practical tasks were submitted for marking, leaving students with time to consolidate and fully prepare for their formal examinations which begin on Monday 22nd October. Congratulations to all our wonderful students on your achievements! Well done and best wishes for the HSC examinations! I would like to wish all students a happy and safe vacation. School resumes on Monday 14th October. Mrs M Hutchinson Please take note of the following announcements. For any questions please contact us on 6556 8100. Click on the image to see a larger version.
