Raise funds for CHAS on funky footwear Friday

On Friday 20 May we need you to wear your most funky footwear!

Pop in to the Chaplaincy (10am-4pm) to show off your fabulous shoes and crazy socks - they'll take a photo and post it to their Facebook page. All the Chaplaincy asks is for donations to help babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions, and their families, facing a difficult journey ahead.

As well as sharing the University's funky footwear on Facebook, they'll send the photos and funds raised to CHAS. Find out more via the Facebook event.

If you can't make it but would like to donate, text CHWK16 £1 to 70070 (or any amount of your choice) and feel free to post your picture to the Facebook page directly.

Business student is raising funds to help fellow student

Business student, Ieva Zilionyte, is running the Scottish half marathon in September to raise funds for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a genetic disorder in which the structure of connective tissue is abnormally fragile. Ieve's friend was diagnosed with EDS and is unable to complete her degree, so Ieva is training now and throughout the summer in a bid to run the half marathon and raise funds to help EDS UK, the charity that funds research into finding a cure.
