Men's Health Resolution Reintroduced to U.S. House of Representatives

A resolution that would continue Medicare and Veterans' Administration (VA) benefits for certain male urological treatments has been reintroduced to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Sponsored by Congressmen Erik Paulsen and Donald Payne, Jr., Resolution 812 aims to protect coverage for urological problems that stem from prostate cancer treatment, such as incontinence and erectile dysfunction (ED).

Gender-Affirming Surgery Becoming More Common in U.S.

More Americans are having gender-affirming surgery nowadays, a study in JAMA Surgery reports. 

Such procedures help patients with gender dysphoria physically transition from their birth gender to the gender they identify with. 

Scientists say the number of surgeries has increased four-fold since 2000. Insurance companies are more likely to cover the procedures now.
