My name is Sunny Atuba. I am an engineering academic at CU Scarborough. My background, training and professional experiences revolve around the vibrant fields of physics, computing, electronics and engineering. Specifically, my doctoral thesis was on the generation of trains of ultrashort pulses and the novel application of microstructured optical fibres. When did you get your HEA recognition? I got my HEA Fellowship on May 16th 2019. Why is this important for you? For me, an award of an FHEA is a good evidence to show that I have demonstrated strong commitment to the overall teaching and learning experience that takes place in the HE industry. This shows that I have been able to practically implement a process that fosters reflection, research and development. Furthermore, an award of this nature attest to the transferrable skills that I possess, consolidates my personal development and evidence of my professional practice in my HE career. |
