Share New Health is Primary Campaign MaterialsHealth is Primary has created two new campaign videos, More For Your Money and Ounce of Prevention, to showcase the value and cost-effectiveness of primary care. They also have resources to raise awareness about mental health through their May Toolkit. Health is Primary is sponsoring the Alliance for Health Policy’s Signature Series. The first summit is on May 17 and will focus on cost. A video of the event will be available at allhealthpolicy.org. Forty-One Locations Will Pilot the New Precepting Performance Improvement ProgramEarlier this month, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) kicked off a pilot program that offers Performance Improvement continuing certification credit to ABFM diplomates who provide personal instruction, training, and supervision to a medical student or resident and who participate in a teaching improvement activity. Forty-one academic units (Sponsors) were selected for the pilot, which will run through December 2018. Each Sponsor will develop and oversee the completion of performance improvement projects that meet the ABFM Family Medicine Certification requirements. This pilot program is part of the Preceptor Expansion Initiative being led by STFM, to address the shortage of clinical
training sites for students. STFM Foundation Launches Campaign to Support Underrepresented in MedicineThe STFM Foundation is launching a 2-year, $150,000 fund-raising campaign to support programs and scholarships for underrepresented in medicine students, residents, and new faculty.
