This excellent teaching course is back on the list and available for international students with a semester 1 and semester 2 intake.

Designed for students interested in educating our birth year age 8 children, this course is suitable for those who wish to teach in early childhood centres and kindergartens in Australia.

Mr Suraj Sarabajeet, a University of Tasmania law student, is the winner of the International Student of the Year Award in the Study Tasmania International Education Shine Awards.

The awards recognise excellence in international education across Tasmania, shining a spotlight on international students, staff, homestay hosts, and community members.

In granting the award, the panel recognised Mr Sarabajeet’s work as a student engagement leader and the support he has provided to international students since his arrival in Tasmania three years ago. He has also been instrumental in the reinvention of the Orientation Airport-pickup service, which has proven very popular with commencing students.

Despite having completed a degree in genetics, it took working with great white sharks in South Africa for Sahan Jayasinghe to realise that marine biology was his real passion.

Sahan was blown away by the opportunities and personal guidance from lecturers at the Institute of Marine and Antarctic Science (IMAS). He has become an astrobiologist where, using his knowledge of sea ice, he is exploring the possibility of life on Jupiter’s frozen moons.
