Not only did the cast of “Bridgerton” reveal that the filming of Season 3 is officially underway in a cheeky new video, but British cinemas are also offering free movie tickets to “vulnerable” redheads during an unprecedented heat wave. I wonder if the sale of red hair dye is going up… Rumor has it the maître d’ is checking your natural roots instead of vax card! Meanwhile in America, where we celebrated our independence from the monarchy earlier this month, they’re canceling Choco Tacos, “Full Frontal With Samantha Bee” and women’s rights. Even Prince Harry, who decided he would rather live in the U.S. than receive free movie tickets in his reigning kingdom, said in an address to the United Nations last week that the reversal of Roe v. Wade is an “assault on American democracy and freedom.” Welcome to the land of the not-so-free and the home of the bat sh– crazy. Emilia Clarke Says Aneurysms Left Her With 'Quite A Bit Missing' From Her Brain (BBC) In a new interview with BBC's "Sunday Morning" Emilia Clarke opened up about suffering two brain aneurysms while filming early seasons of “Game of Thrones.” “The amount of my brain that is no longer usable – it’s remarkable that I am able to speak, sometimes articulately, and live my life completely normally with absolutely no repercussions,” she said. “I am in the really, really, really small minority of people that can survive that.” She added that at the time, she was in “the most excruciating pain” but now, she actually gets a bit of a kick out of saying that portions of her brain are literally missing. “There’s quite a bit missing, which always makes me laugh,” she added. “Because strokes – basically, as soon as any part of your brain doesn’t get blood for a second, it’s gone. And so the blood finds a different route to get around, but then whatever bit is missing is therefore gone.” Meet America’s Best Employers For Women 2022(Gracelynn Wan for Forbes) Forbes teamed up with market research company Statista for their annual ranking of America’s Best Employers for Women. The list was compiled by surveying 50,000 Americans—30,000 women and 20,000 men—working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. All respondents were asked to rate their organizations on criteria such as working conditions, diversity and how likely they’d be to recommend their employer to others. These responses were reviewed for potential gender gaps. Statista then asked female respondents to rate their employers on factors such as parental leave, discrimination and pay equity, and to nominate organizations in industries outside their own. Representation at the executive and board levels were also factored into the final score. Here are the top 20 companies: 1. Tampa General Hospital 11. Lulu Lemon Athletica Texas Woman Speaks Out After Being Forced to Carry Her Dead Fetus for 2 Weeks (CNN) The same surgical procedure that is used to treat a miscarriage is also used for terminating pregnancies. New Texas anti-abortion laws have doctors nervous to perform procedures for miscarriages, forcing Marlena Stell to carry her dead fetus in her womb for two weeks. "The doctor said, ‘Because of the new law that’s passed here, you have to schedule another ultrasound to verify that this pregnancy is not valid before we can give you any sort of medical intervention,’” Stell told her social media followers. The beauty Youtuber also recently spoke to CNN about her “gut-wrenching” miscarriage. Dr. Lillian Schapiro, an Atlanta-based OB-GYN, told CNN that carrying a dead fetus can quickly become dangerous for the mother. “She can develop an infection that can make her sterile and never able to have children again,” Schapiro said. “When the baby dies inside, the baby starts to release parts of its tissue that can get into the mother’s blood supply. It can cause organ failure. It can cause death.” India’s Next President Will Make History When She’s Sworn In (Divyakant Solanki/EPA, via Shutterstock) Besides being only the second female president of India, Droupadi Murmu, who until recently was the governor of Jharkhand State, will be the first president from the country’s Indigenous tribal communities, an economically marginalized population that makes up nearly 10% of India’s population. Ms. Murmu, 64, is a member of one of India’s oldest and largest tribes, the Santhals, who are famous for an uprising against British rule in the 1850s. She was born to a rice farmer who was a member of Uparbeda’s village council; as a child, she walked a kilometer to school each day and studied at night by kerosene lamp. Even today, many people in Murmo’s hometown cook over firewood, and water is drawn from community hand pumps. Until last month, they still didn’t have electricity. Once Murmu suddenly became the likely next president of India, news outlets began reporting on their lack of electricity and soon after workers were sent to connect residents to the grid. ‘The Boys’ Star Karen Fukuhara on Using Dildos to Take Down Russian Oligarchs Turns out, it’s the women who do the ass-kicking in Prime Video’s adult superhero series “The Boys.” Exhibit A: Kimiko Miyashiro, played by Karen Fukuhara. As the only super-powered member of Billy Butcher’s (Karl Urban) gang, Kimiko has proven to be a useful asset in taking down Vought – especially when it involves killing Russian oligarchs with dildos. During a recent interview with WrapWomen, Fukukhara opened-up about the mechanics of filming the gory scene. “It was actually very technical…. We went through weeks of training and rehearsal,” she said. “It will probably end up on some porn site,” she added jokingly. Despite carrying out a successful mission, the violence and fear of the sex workers she saves become a pivotal moment for Kimiko’s character. “She goes in to save these girls, but in fact, they’re actually scared of her,” Fukuhara explained. According to Fukuhara, it’s the first moment that Kimiko realizes that other people see her as a monster, in the same way that she’s seen Homelander and the other supes as villains her whole life. “There’s nothing more she wants than to connect with these girls and be the hero,” Fukuhara told WrapWomen. “It was a really sad scene to shoot.” Did We Just Become Best Friends?
