We and the British Association for Chemical Specialities (BACS) are hosting conference on Tuesday 21 June.

Stand up for standards

We are determined to drive up standards in the cleaning and hygiene industry.

Our Manufacturing Standards Accreditation Schemes for Soft Tissue, Plastic Refuse Sacks and Industrial Cotton Mops are at the heart of our drive.  They give buyers the confidence that 'what's on the box is in the box'.

Use our leaflets to tell customers about the value of the Schemes and persuade them to specify membership in their tenders.

Due to popular demand we produced another print run of the leaflets.  Email Cathy Connan if you would like more copies.

Every ticket has been sold and we've lined up some brilliant entertainment.

On the road with BPI Recycled Products

Member of the Manufacturing Standards Accredtiation Scheme for Plastic Refuse Sacks, BPI Recycled Products has taken its Drop Tester on the road to the Manchester Cleaning Show to promote the value of the Accreditation Scheme to buyers of cleaning and hygiene products.

Using the British Standards Institute's BS6642 Drop Test method, members of the Plastic Refuse Sack Accreditation Scheme regularly test their own product and are audited by the CHSA's Independent Inspector at least twice a year.

During the Drop Test a sack is filled to a pre-defined weight of either 5Kgs, 10Kgs, 15Kgs or 20Kgs then dropped from a height of 1.5m and assessed for splits.  Ten sacks are tested in this way and only if the batch passes is it marked suitable for the ‘duty’ category in question.

Get it tested

If you find yourself competing against a product you believe is not fit for purpose, get in touch. The CHSA's Independent Inspector, Martin Yates,  will audit the product and let you know whether or not it meets the relevant Accreditation Scheme Standard and if not, where it falls down.

You'll have the independent data you need to make your argument.

Email Linda Belcher if you'd like Martin to conduct an independent audit.
