SACRAMENTS 2019

  • Year 3: First Eucharist -  Sat May 25th, 5pm;

                                        Sun May 26th, 10:30am

  •           First Eucharist -    Sat June 1st, 5pm

                                        Sun June 2nd,10:30am

  • Year 6: Confirmation -    Sat August 17th, 5pm.

With the season of Lent about to end, we enter into Holy Week which occurs during the holidays. To celebrate this very important time in our church calendar, we are having a whole school liturgy in the church on Friday, at 11.45am. You are all welcome to attend.

As mentioned by the Faith and Social Justice team yesterday at assembly, our Project Compassion boxes are there so that we can ‘fill’ them and forward our donations to the great work that Caritas does. So on Friday, the children are wearing casual clothes and bringing along a gold coin donation to support Caritas.
Please remember to send a coin (or two!) along, and remember... to please label any loose clothing your child may have. It is approaching the end of term, and we don't want any clothing lost or left behind in our lost property bucket which always seems to get hungry towards the end of the term!!!!!

Congratulations to the First Reconciliation recipients - Ben, Hamish, Maya M, Max, Anastasia, Jessica, Chloe,Tilda, Lucas, Erin, Maya C, Freya, Jesse and Tess who received this sacrament last Wednesday evening. The children were well prepared by their classroom teachers Jenny Morsley and Tim Allen and were reverent during the liturgy. We look forward to celebrating their First Eucharist with them.

Thank you to all the parents of the First Eucharist candidates who have secured a place for their preferred day on the Trybooking website. If you haven’t done so yet, please do as the places are filling up quickly. Remember, the maximum is 10 per mass.

To all our wonderful Parents and Friends, thank you for all you have done to help Greg and the St Anne’s Staff members get 2019 off to such a good start. It has been a very busy term but we have already achieved great things and you have answered the call when we have asked for your assistance. In that vein, we have two final things for this term that we need everyone to get behind:

Mothers Day dinner
Please save the night of Thursday 9th May for Mum's to have an evening together.

Further details to follow in the coming weeks.

Easter Egg Fundraiser
With the School term ending on Friday, we are reaching the critical phase of our Easter Egg Fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who has already returned their empty boxes and deposited the $80. However, at the time of writing only a third of our school families have done so. To everyone else, get cracking! The $80 payment is now required. As previously advised, we can’t return product to the supplier and we will have to charge School Families for any unsold product so please, please make this your priority and complete your sales, return the empty boxes and deposit/leave the $80 at the School Office ASAP!!!

The account number to make a direct deposit to the P&F account is BSB: 633000 ACCT:  117570630 please use ref: surname and easter.

Working Bee Saturday 6th April 2019
As advised last week, we will be removing and disposing of the existing surface from the lower court area this Saturday (6 April 2019) from 8.00am. For this we require the assistance of a band of volunteers. With an enthusiastic crew, we will be able to knock this job over in a matter of hours and set ourselves up for installation of the new surface in Term 2. By doing this job ourselves, we will save the school thousands of dollars. Please come on Saturday – even if you can only spare an hour, it will make a huge difference.
