Click here April 2020 and Programme AnnouncementCove Park's Summer Residency Programme is typically announced in the preceding spring and although the majority of the residencies we have planned are now postponed due to the current crisis, we are pleased to share with you the names of those we will welcome to Cove Park as soon as we can. Please scroll down for details of our Crafts & Design, Experimental Film & Moving Image, Literature & Translation and Visual Arts programmes. We are also delighted to announce the launch of Hands-On Cove Park at Home. This new series of short films provides introductions to the work of the participating artists and gives ideas for work you can make and techniques you can try at home. Scroll down for further information and to see the first film with visual artist and 2019 resident Hrafnhildur Halldórsdóttir. In this our 20th year, we will continue our planned archive project and showcase the work of as many of our alumni as we can. This Newsletter features the acclaimed writer and theatre and dance dramaturg Ruth Little and reflects upon her ongoing relationship with Cove Park. We will also highlight our alumni through regular #CovePark2020 posts on social media, sharing portraits of the artists at Cove Park and updates on their work. Follow us on twitter, facebook and instagram to see more. Finally, we would like to thank all those who support our work by purchasing limited edition prints commissioned by Cove Park. This support is particularly crucial now and will help us to continue to offer vital opportunities for national and international artists and those within our local community. More information on the editions available - by artists such as Claire Barclay, Louise Hopkins, Charlotte Prodger and Simon Starling - is given below and editions can be purchased via our Shop. We hope all of our artists, colleagues, friends and supporters are safe and well and we send our very best wishes to everyone. Although our regular series of Saturdays Studios and other events can not now take place due to the current crisis, HOCP at Home introduces the practices of the participating artists and gives ideas for work you can make at home. The first film features the Glasgow-based artist Hrafnhildur Halldórsdóttir - a visual arts resident in 2019 - and is edited by Duncan Marquiss. The film shows how to make your own loom and to experiment with some of the techniques the artist employs. Future HOCP at Home films will be released shortly and we would like to thank the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Young Start Community Fund for their ongoing support of this programme.
