Faculty Colloquium Spring Schedule Set

The Nicholson School's Spring Faculty Colloquium is set for January 26, February 16 and April 24.

Presentions include Nick Sciullo  “Boston King’s Fugitive Passing: Fred Moten, Saidiya Hartman, and Tina Campt’s Rhetoric of Resistance”; Jihyun Kim, "Celebrity's Social Media and the Role of Social Presence" and Tim Brown, “Webcourses, chat rooms, mobile – Oh My! The role of technology in student engagement online.”

Scholarships for 2018 Are Now Available

NSC students may now compete for $22,000 in scholarships based on their academic achievement, class and club participation, civic and volunteer activities.

Nine faculty volunteers are needed to award these scholarships: three from journalism, three from Ad/PR; and three at large to award the undergrad/graduate category. Volunteers will be provided rankings by criteria as well as the details that applicants complete for your review. There will be one meeting to attend and one form to complete, sign and return.

Please email Susan Morris by Friday, Jan. 12 indicating your preferred committee and if you would like to chair a committee.

 
 
 

Change in Overhead Return Distribution to Departments and Principal Investigators

In view of the changes announced by Vice President for Research Elizabeth Klonoff regarding research overhead return to colleges, the College of Sciences has decided to adopt the same protocol when distributing these funds to departments and principal investigators.
