The influences things have... No images? Click here The influences things have...#40 Meee Moments (October 2022) A very Happy October lovely people! September had many highs and a few lows and in particular was marked by the sad death of Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away at the age of 96. What's amazing about Queen Elizabeth II was her incredible sense of duty to serve many millions of people. Her influence on the lives of those around the world will never be forgotten, and this is why we are dedicating October to Influence. And, the opportunities it brings... Here's to a scrumptious influential October... The above image is by Ryan Johns, Unsplash.
We have all we need...I (Sid) recently watched a great film about spirituality on Gaia, and being connected to everything that is life. It ended with a wonderful story about a dying woman's wishes to her husband. She said “Please remember that when you lift your head from the pillow after you wake. You have all you need”. That really touched me and I hope it does you too. We all have what we need. We have the ability, the skills and the resources we need to find the opportunity in everything we do. We just need to believe it and influence our thinking to find a way through... With this lovely thought in mind we're hosting a webinar with the wonderful David Beeney, who I met earlier this year. He is AWESOME and wonderfully influential. So come and join us on the 6th of October for an amazing chat (see link below).
Happy Days as Meee receives CPD approval...We are deeelighted to share with you our wonderFUEL news that our FUEL LITE programme is now CPD accredited. How amazing is that? It's a huge achievement and effort from us all at Meee, and especially the magical people we work with in education. Thank you to everyone who makes the magic at Meee happen. xx We recently launched our FUEL LITE programme for a second academic year at colleges in South Wales. A truly wonderFUEL day meeting the Magic Makers and past and present learners. Having this accreditation will mean so much for the many learners we serve. In chapter 16 from 'Meee In A Minute', Sid wrote “Every day is an opportunity to learn something new, which could change the way you see the world or the way you feel about yourself”. Learning will positively influence our lives.
World Mental Health Day...10 October is World Mental Health Day. And this years theme is to 'Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority'. As we know mental health affects, effects and involves all of us. So, how can you influence making mental health and wellbeing a priority? It doesn't have to be a grand gesture. It can be in simple, micro-moments such as smiling at people, truly listening to your friends and family or making random acts of kindness. Remember though to start with yourself and SMILE. xx
Influence your own Symphony...Last month we mentioned International Day of Sign Language and this month our very own Paula has kept her promise and recorded a short clip of using sign language (see link below). What's amazing about communication is that we all do it. And, we all do it differently. From letters, to numbers, to colours, to braille, to sign language and everything else it's all about creating influence and influencing ourselves and others. Paula recently watched a TV programme about the brilliant Amar Latif - The Blind Guy Who Wants To Show You The World (his words) - going to The Lowry Theatre in Salford, Manchester. Not only is this truly remarkable, but it also shows how we can influence the ways things are done, and the ways we can change things.
How a walk to the loo shaped Marianne Rutz's life!Marianne's life was influenced by her Grandmother. Every day, upon waking, her first words when she went to the loo were “Thank you, thank you, thank you”. She used that time to appreciate another day here on planet earth. What a great way to influence your thoughts every day. Thank you Marianne for sharing your magic with us. |
