The Milford Street Shakers are back at the Parkerville Taven

The Milford Street Shakers take you on a memorable journey across the iconic 60s musical landscape, bridging the simplicity of the blues with the sheer expressivity of R&B.

Their unique take on classics like ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’, ‘Land of 1000 Dances’ and ‘Uptight (Everything’s Alright)’ will get you out of your seats and dancing to their groovy beats.

Mundaring Sunday Markets

Sunday 8 April
Mundaring Sunday Markets offer an array of indoor and outdoor stalls, including seasonal fruit & veg, jewellery, scarves, bags, clothes, a plethora of craft items, garden ornaments, plants, soap, honey, chutneys and preserves - the list goes on!
Once you've snapped up a bargain, relax and enjoy a bite to eat at the Mundaring Hotel, just a few steps away, or head over the road to Mundaring Sculpture Park, for a picnic or BBQ and awesome kids playground. Markets open 9am-2pm, Nichol Street, Mundaring.

WA Author Day event at Just Add Passion

Sunday 8 April
Head to Just Add Passion in Stoneville for the opportunity to meet some of Western Australia's fabulous authors. Chat about books, writing, life and everything in between. You never know, one of your favourite authors might be there or you might find a new favourite! 

There will be giveaways, door prizes and the coffee van, "Just Add Coffee" will be open for your coffee or tea requirements.

The Nearer to Nature April school holidays program, 'Autumn's Aura' offers plenty of fun, hands-on activities, bringing kids of all ages up close and personal with nature.

The following activities are held in the Perth Hills with most at the Perth Hills Discovery Centre, 380 Allen Road, Mundaring (near Mundaring Weir), and one taking place at John Forrest National Park.

Forge Farm Riding School Easter Holiday Activities

Monday 16-Tuesday 17 April 
Pony Camp - two days and one night of riding, learning and fun. Leave all electronic gadgets at home and enjoy being in nature. Suitable for 10-16 age group $270pp, everything included. Bookings essential.

Wednesday 18 April
Tony Tot trail – Pony rides for 4–7 year olds.  A twenty minute pony ride followed by giving the pony a brush and a carrot.  Only $25pp. 

Thursday 19 and Thursday 26 April
Pony Morning - three hour session including a riding lesson, saddling, brushing, feeding, leading and cleaning out a yard. Aimed at 7- 13 year age group and suitable for children with no experience with horses. Only $55pp.

Mundaring Folk 'N' Blues Club

Friday 20 April
On the third Friday of every month, the Mundaring Folk 'n' Blues Club presents a wide variety of music, nominally in the "folk and blues" genre, but there is a wide variety of music, played LIVE. Entry $10 (sometimes higher for special acts).

Like Water : A Day of History & Art with Jo Darvall & Friends

Celebrate the 2018 Australian Heritage Festival by joining artist Jo Darvall for this unique event.  Experience the historic Mundaring Weir Pump Station and art installation with C.Y. O'Connor descendants, Mike and Dr Kathryn Lefroy, and artist Jo Darvall; Listen to a music performance by an international pianist: Setsu Masada and enjoy conversation and stories over a delicious Long Table Artist Lunch with local historians, artists, poets and eminent writer Amanda Curtin. Marloo Theatre presents The Anniversary

Written by Bill MacIlwraith and directed by Rob Warner, this comedy is set in South London in 1966 and is best known as the “mother-in-law-from-hell play”.

The Anniversary is a black comedy where the family matriarch binds her 3 sons to her with gifts, threats & ruthless expoitation of their weaknesses.

2018 Australian Heritage Festival - various events

Forge Farm Riding School - Twilight Trail Rides

The beautiful Autumn weather is here and what better time to enjoy it than on horseback? 

The Twilight Trail Ride offers a 2 hour twilight trail ride along the beautiful KEP Track from Forge Farm Riding School in Chidlow to Fettler’s Crossing in Wooroloo.  Once at Fettlers you will enjoy a gourmet platter and wine, with time to relax in this stunning location, before being returned to your car at Forge Farm. 

This activity is suitable for any level of riding (beginners welcome), however a reasonable level of fitness is necessary. Cost $135./pp. Vouchers available.

Mundaring District Museum - Earth Watch Exhibition

Earth Watch: Mundaring's Geophysical Observatory, tells the story of one of Western Australia's more interesting scientific sites. From 1959 until 2000, Mundaring's Geophysical Observatory played a significant role in gathering and disseminating magnetic, seismic, and ionospheric data for use in scientific research as well as for every-day and commercial purposes.
