AFAM will exhibit more than 60 paintings and drawings by Bill Traylor from June 11 – September 22. AFAM has also announced the appointment of Dr Valerie Rousseau as Curator of 20th Century and Contemporary Art.

FASA 2013 Conference, USA

This year's Annual Conference of the Folk Art Society of America will be held October 3 – 7.

Smithsonian, USA

The Smithsonian American Art Museum has appointed Leslie Umberger as its first full-time Curator of Folk and Self-taught Art. The Museum recently acquired over 100 pieces by Mingering Mike which will be displayed in 2015.
