2. People sickened in 8 states, and birds dying from the same strain of Salmonella

4. Use of illegal ASF vaccines likely to boost pork imports

"Reuters reports that use of illegal vaccines by some Chinese hog producers last year had the opposite effect and ended up killing pigs, reducing output. China has been trying to rebuild its massive hog herd since the deadly African swine fever virus ravaged the country’s farms during 2018 and 2019."
