Educated, Black, Male: Marc Lamont Hill - 6 p.m. TODAY
Join the Multicultural Student Center in celebrating Black History Month with Marc Lamont Hill from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30 at the Morgridge International Reading Center, Global Communications Room. Hill is an American academic, journalist, author, activist and organizer and television personality. He is a distinguished professor of African-American Studies at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga. Hill was the original host of the television show Our World with Black Enterprise and hosts VH1 Live! He is also a BET News correspondent and a CNN political commentator.
Marchioli Collective Impact Award Nominations and Submissions
The Marchioli Collective Impact Awards have been expanded to include both an ideation competition to generate novel ideas and an innovation award to recognize accomplishments, with opportunities for faculty and staff to win prizes of $500, $1,000, or $2,500! Office 365 Email Migration -
Feb. 10 - 12
Beginning at 6 p.m. on the weekend of February 10-12, UCF will be transitioning our Exchange email service to Office 365 (from running Exchange on campus to running it in the Microsoft cloud). All UCF email accounts will be converted to the Office 365 system throughout the weekend. The one-stop shop on everything Office 365 can be found online at office365.ucf.edu. There will be webmail logins and more information, including a direct link (Titled "Information") to the site mentioned in the campus email, which is (please copy and paste this link into your browser):
http://www.cst.ucf.edu/service-desk/ucf-email-migration-to-office-365-2 You can prepare your mobile device now: The "UCF Office 365 Migration Preparation Tips" video on the Information site is a must watch with more detail on how to prepare for the migration, especially if you check your email with your phone or tablet. Starting at 8 a.m., Monday, Feb. 13, you can reach out to the UCF IT Support Center at 407-823-2793 or 407-823-5117 if you have any issues.
USPS Employee of the Month Nominations
The University of Central Florida USPS Employee of the Month and Year Award recognizes exceptional performance of currently employed USPS staff. We welcome your nomination and thank you for helping to identify and recognize exceptional university employees. All USPS Employee Of the Month recipients receive a $200 cash award, two $25 gift cards and additional recognition. The 12 USPS Employees Of the Month are eligible for the prestigious USPS Employee of the Year award with an additional $2,500 award presented at the annual Employee Award's Program. Leadership Week - Feb. 20-25
Leadership Week at UCF offers a number of events around campus that encourage students to get serious about leadership skills and they way they impact their community. Hosted by the LEAD Scholars Academy, Leadership Week will offer six events featuring prominent keynote speakers. Founders' Day Honors Convocation 2017 - April 5
Please join the Office of Instructional Resources in celebrating faculty who have demonstrated excellence in service to students and the university at this year's Founders' Day Honors Convocation from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, in the Pegasus Ballroom of the Student Union. This annual convocation recognizes faculty members for outstanding teaching, advising, research, professional service and librarianship. This includes recognition of UCF Reach for the Stars Award recipients for their highly successful early-career research and creative activity and Pegasus Professor Award recipients for receiving UCF's highest honor of excellence.

The College of Sciences is looking for nominations of outstanding students from our departments and school that represent the college well. COS is looking for students who have an interesting or motivational story to tell, or someone very involved at UCF and in the community. COS wants to share their story and grow the college’s social media pages – and the departments’/schools' pages too!
