"Oakland, and indeed the world, is tackling an issue of enormous scale and human impact, our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19).
At Oakland Promise, we believe it is our role and responsibility during this time to prioritize two things: ensure the health and well-being of our kids (and our community educators, volunteers, staff and partners) while keeping them on track towards post-secondary success. We also take seriously our role to be helpful in supporting local health officials and government leaders as they work to prevent spread of a pandemic."
