Annual Lecture: The impact of donations

Come along on 27 June and discover the difference your support makes to Queen Square
The annual lecture in June is our chance to thank you by showing you the true impact of your amazing donations – we’ll be outlining some of our most successful projects, and have invited a panel along to discuss the history of charity funding for hospitals, as well as its crucial role in the current climate.

The BBC's Health Editor Hugh Pym is among those taking part in the debate about the role of charity funding within the NHS

After the lecture there will be a drinks reception and the opportunity to speak to the clinical and research teams. We will also be launching our Annual Review which will look in detail at the areas we fund in Queen Square and the huge benefit this has had on patients, carers, staff and students.

Places are limited and admission is by ticket only. If you would like to attend the lecture, please email us.

Tuesday 27 June, 6.30-8.30pm, Lecture Theatre, 33 Queen Square, WC1N

Share your #SenseOfPlace

Our art fundraising exhibition A Letter in Mind is back for its fourth year. If you are creative or know anyone who is, we need you to take part or  help us by spreading the word! We are looking for visual response to our theme, 'A Sense Of Place', on a blank envelope - which will then be exhibited at gallery@oxo on London's Southbank this autumn.

We have already seen an amazing response, with over 350 of you registering. We've also had some big names agreeing to take part including: Grayson Perry; comedian Jo Brand and  actor Kevin Eldon; top architects Laurie Chetwood and Amin Taha; artists Frank Kiely, Natasha Kidd, Gill Rocca and Harry Pye, plus renowned illustrators Chris Haughton and Polly Dunbar.

Each day we see another pile of incredible artwork envelopes arrive in our office, but we always need more submissions to make this event the huge success it has become! Each artwork will be sold anonymously for £85 and all proceeds will go back to Queen Square to improve the outcomes for those affected by a neurological condition. Please register below today and support our work.

CNMD team does it again!

Yesterday marked the ninth year in a row that Professor Mike Hanna got together a team from the Centre for Neuromuscular Diseases (CNMD) to run the Vitality 10k in London.

CNMD carries out research with the aim of developing new ways to treat devastating neuromuscular conditions. Its specialist health professionals also aim to provide a local, regional and national centre of clinical excellence for the diagnosis and management of these diseases.

Since the CNMD team first set themselves this annual 10k challenge, they have raised £140,000. The impact of this has been incredible and has helped to train the next generation of researchers, nurses, therapists and doctors.

It's not too late to show your support for the team by making a donation, however big or small, by clicking on the button below.

Welcome to Dentons

We are thrilled to announce that we have a
new company who has chosen us as its Charity of the Year.

Dentons is a global law firm and we were introduced to them after Ian Outen – a partner who was also a patient at The National Hospital – recently passed away. In Ian's memory, the company decided to partner with us, and raise much-needed funds for Queen Square.

We're looking forward to working together with their employees on various fundraising initiatives, but most importantly, to also help them have fun while they do it!

Do you work for a company which has a Charity of the Year or corporate social responsibilty programme? Maybe your family or friends work for an employer which supports charities. Please suggest us as a nominated charity! If you need more information, simply click below.
