Go for gold this summer

In case you haven't noticed, the Rio Olympics are almost upon us – a full summer of sporting events are set to take over our screens.

We've got some clever ideas to have fun with the Olympics this summer while raising some much-needed funds for The National Hospital, whether you want to celebrate in an active way – or sit back and cheer from your armchair!

Sporty: Host a mini Olympics party in your garden. Put up the bunting, get some drinks and food in and charge friends and family to take part. Think 'basketball' using balled-up paper and a little bin; obstacle courses; limbo; long jump; and discus using a frisbee.

Sofa: Invite friends and family over to watch your favourite sporting event from the comfort of your couch and charge an entrance fee. Or organise a sweepstake where the winner is the person who draws the country that wins the most gold medals on the day you're watching. Give a bottle of wine to the winner and the sweepstake proceeds to The National Brain Appeal.

We are brimming with creative ideas to make your Olympic summer a fundraising success – just get in touch with our team today!

Have your say on UK neuro care

The Neurological Alliance has just launched its second neuro survey – and want to know about your neurological condition, including the quality of the treatment, care and support that you receive. Your views will help this campaigning organisation to understand how much progress has been made in improving neurological services, and which areas to focus on for improvement.

It's crucial to get as many people as possible sharing their views. Forward our newsletter on to anyone who may want to take part and click here to take the survey.
