Welcome to WOW’s designer newsletter - a round up of news and inspiration curated especially for you

This past month has been a busy one here at WOW HQ, but nonetheless exciting. We have new staff on board, including Kat Sprowell who has joined us as our Competition and Business Affairs Manager. Kat is working closely with Competition Director, Heather, and will be a key contact for WOW designers.  If you haven't heard from her already, she looks forward to being in contact in the future.

Last weekend was First Judging. We know that the wait for judging results can be nerve-wracking and ahead of results going out today, we wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the amazing creativity and energy that each designer puts into their garment. We appreciate that judging results time is always a creative rollercoaster with a mixture of elation for those who move through and disappointment for those who receive the news that their entry has not been selected.

Thank you all for continuing to share your extraordinary creations with us and wishing all 2017 entrants the very of best of luck.

We hope you enjoy this issue and we'd love to hear your feedback. Thanks for reading.

Sasvári, 41, won the Sustainability Award in 2015 with her exquisite hand-painted garment Templa Mentis, and won honourable mention in the Weta Costume & Film section in 2014 for Gesta Hungarorum (Chronicle of the Hungarians)... Read more
