New Faculty Positions Available

Assistant Professor
The Nicholson School of Communication (NSC) at the University of Central Florida is seeking a tenure-earning assistant professor of Communication with an emphasis in Environmental/Science Mass Communication, to enhance NSC’s forthcoming Ph.D. in Strategic Communication. Aug. 8, 2018, is the anticipated start date.

GEP-GAA Three Year Visiting Lecturer Position
The Nicholson School of Communication (NSC) at the University of Central Florida is seeking applications for a nine-month, non-tenure earning, three-year visiting lecturer in the Human Communication, General Education Program (GEP), Global Achievement Academy (GAA) program anticipated to begin fall 2018.

 
 
 

Faculty Colloquia Featuring Dr. Kim Voss - Nov. 3

Dr. Kim Voss will present her research topic "Women Politicking Politely: Advancing Feminism in the 1960s and 1970s." This event is part of the faculty colloquia series and is the final session. This brown bag lunch discussion will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3 in NSC room 228. All are welcome to attend.

 
 

Lt. Christine Gigicos to Speak Oct. 27

Lt. Christine Gigicos of UCF PD, the commander of the UCF Downtown Police station, will speak just prior to the next faculty meeting from 9:30 - 10 a.m. about safety and security regarding the downtown campus. She will also will be taking questions from faculty as well.

NPR Hit Show
'Ask Me Another'
Live Taping - Oct. 19

New Homecoming Event for Alumni
- Oct. 13

The UCF Alumni Association has announced the ChargeON: Beyond the Sport professional development and networking event for UCF's graduates and friends. This event will take place from 2 - 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13 at classroom building 2, room 106. The panel will feature Olympic gold medalists and national champions. In addition to sharing their personal stories, the group will discuss themes like leadership, motivation, teamwork and more. The event is free, but space is limited and registration is required. 2017 Benefits Fair

The 2017 UCF Benefits Fair will take place from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27 in the Student Union Pegasus Ballroom. The event, hosted by Human Resources, will include vendors providing information regarding insurance, retirement and open enrollment. Flu shots, chair massages, hands on CPR instruction and more will also be provided at this event.
