Dear Pitt Postdocs,
I hope that you are all safe and healthy and gearing up for the fall term. I have learned that you may not have received some emails about new processes and measures being implemented on campus. We have confirmed that you will receive these emails in the future, but I wanted to provide you with links to the information shared and posted online last week.
- New guidelines for research trainees (including postdocs): www.provost.pitt.edu/guidelines-research-trainees-during-covid-19-operations. (These guidelines replace the “essential research” guidelines for trainees that used to be posted at Resources for Graduate and Professional Students and Postdocs during the COVID-19 Pandemic.) Please talk to your supervisor or PI about the new guidelines.
- Required safety training: All members of the Pitt community are required to complete an online training for Fall 2020. For those of you who are already working on campus, you will need to complete the new training as well. Your supervisor or department head will provide you with instructions about this training in the coming weeks.
- All members of the Pitt community are asked to read and commit to upholding the Campus Compact. It should appear (or should have appeared) once when you logged in to my.pitt.edu.
- Prior to coming to campus every day, postdocs are required to attest to their health using the Daily COVID-19 Health Check app, which is available on the Pitt Mobile App and my.pitt.edu. Simply log in using your Pitt credentials, look for the thermometer icon, and answer two questions about how you are feeling and whether you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19: www.hr.pitt.edu/news/return-campus-information-staff
- Requirement to wear face covering and follow other health rules: www.coronavirus.pitt.edu/healthy-community/pitts-health-rules
