Product Update: VL-ILC - Intermittent Motion Inline Vertical Cartoner (Video ID: 429)
AFA successfully produced a new auto-bottom carton erector and loader. The vertical cartoner handles two lanes of product from upstream flow wrappers. Bar code readers, labelers, and vision detection systems seamlessly integrate with the VL-ILC. The VL-ILC also utilizes an AFA gantry robot top-load system to provide easy set-up and OEM service and support. All major actuations on the VL-ILC are servo-driven, making the system run smoothly and the changeover more precise. The system also includes an open flap detection system.
New Product: CE-RAB - Rotary Autobottom Carton Erector
AFA Systems has created a new product called the CE-RAB. The CE-RAB is a compact, high-speed auto-bottom carton erector that features AFA's innovative rotary feeder technology. The system includes a carton pre-break system coupled with a striking bar to open auto-bottom cartons positively. The CE-RAB's design seamlessly integrates into the customer's production floor. The CE-RAB also features an innovative carton magazine to ensure auto-bottom cartons are square before picking. A servo motor and drive on the rotary feeder allow for a reduction of components and high-speed operation. The CE-RAB can reach over 80 cartons per minute.
