Hi ! Last March the World Health Organization announced that the COVID-19 outbreak had reached pandemic proportions, and the lockdown that would reshape and redefine our lives began. While it was uncertain how long quarantine would last, COVID has redefined the experience of being a scholar and a student. You have had to transition to the challenges of online learning, build community online, and fight to stay motivated throughout the year. You have also been resilient. You've picked up and explored new hobbies, deepened your existing passions, and advocated for yourself and your community - all while furthering your educational journey. While there is still much uncertainty what the future may hold, know that Oakland Promise and our staff is always here to support you through your challenges and wins. As you reflect on your year during the pandemic, know that our Advisors are here to help you reach your fullest potential.
