Board statement

Dear reformer,

On behalf of the Board of Directors and as the Board Chair, I want to share an update about personnel transitions at The Reformation Project. In recent months, staff members proposed changing our management structure. The board and Matthew Vines, our Executive Director, reviewed, discussed, and extensively researched the proposal. After careful consideration, the Board and Executive Director decided that the proposed changes were not the right path forward for the organization.

Unfortunately, this conclusion resulted in some staff members deciding they no longer wanted to work within our existing structure. We are saddened by this but wish them all the best as they move forward in their careers, and we thank them for their important contributions to The Reformation Project.

The board is in full support of Matthew’s continued leadership as Executive Director, and The Reformation Project remains firmly committed to advancing our mission and vision for LGBTQ inclusion and affirmation in the global church. We look forward to continuing to partner with each of you in the great work you are doing and seeing many of you at our conference in Seattle this fall.
