We're delighted to announce that the Pin Payments private beta is progressing well. We've been working hard to establish a simple multicurrency payment system to allow Australian companies to accept payment from their customers, without merchant accounts or offshore company incorporation. You'll receive further updates as we progress into public beta and general availability.

Through 2012 we worked with Australia's financial services companies, along with our technical and fraud-detection partners, to provide a simple all-in-one system at a price that beats the combined cost of a typical foreign-currency merchant account and a gateway service.

Your Pin Payments account is priced as follows:

• $50 monthly service fee
• 3% per-transaction
• $0.30 per-transaction

Our goal is to put Australian online businesses on equal footing with their overseas contemporaries. We believe Australia should have the infrastructure required to export SaaS and to participate in e-commerce without disadvantage.

During private beta, Pin Payments allows you to accept credit card payments in AUD and USD, with additional major currencies to be added soon.
