New Semester 2 subject ENVS10012 Changing Melbourne open for enrolments

Multiplicity: the cinematic city by John Wardle Architects with writer and filmmaker Stefano Boscutti

The city as a laboratory drives this new and exciting Environments subject that investigates scientific, design, engineering and social perspectives to ask how Melbourne can be modelled as the world’s most liveable city.

Through undertaking an in depth study of the places and event spaces of dynamic Melbourne you will research, experiment and prepare a future scenario for this city under transformation.

During the subject you will be introduced to a range of digital and analogue tools that will assist in the mapping and documentation of the city leading to future strategies and/or designs.

Students can enrol now via their Study Plan in my.unimelb using the subject code ENVS10012.

"People" - Australasian Architecture Student Congress

Dates: 2 - 4 July 2015
Venue: Various locations, Melbourne

Architecture is about people. In architecture we work and rest, it’s where we fall in love, where we protest; architecture changes behaviour, it unites and divides, provides shelter and inspiration.

This year Melbourne’s metropolitan architecture schools will come together to host the first Architecture Student Congress in the city since 1964. We invite you to join us on a journey around the city as we seek to investigate questions of spatial relations, architectural anthropology, humanitarian architecture, advocacy and intervention.

This is a unique opportunity for students to hear from local and international speaker, attend workshops and network.
