For The Curious... No images? Click here ![]() For The Curious...Welcome to Meee Moments #69 – Stay Curious! This month, we’re embracing curiosity, the spark that fuels discovery, learning, and growth. Through our Counting on Confidence Programme, working with prisons and Approved Premises, we’ve seen how every individual has a unique story. By listening and learning, we uncover the richness of human diversity, how different we are, yet how much we share. When was the last time curiosity led you somewhere unexpected? Curiosity isn’t just about the world around us; it’s about understanding ourselves. Developing emotional awareness and self-regulation helps us navigate life with clarity and resilience. This theme runs through our latest Just Meee Podcast, Sid’s articles, and the inspiring journey of Anthea, who overcame fear through learning, proving that curiosity leads to confidence. This month, challenge yourself, ask, explore, and embrace curiosity. The answers may surprise you! The image above: What do you see? A snowy landscape, winding roads, or an abstract masterpiece? Curiosity invites us to look beyond the obvious and explore new perspectives. Take a moment, let your imagination wander, and see where it takes you! ![]()
If You Don't Ask... However and wherever you look, there’s always something to wonder about. Curiosity keeps us learning, growing, and discovering new possibilities. Years ago, I read A Curious Mind by Brian Grazer. In it, he shared how his curiosity led him to have a new, thought-provoking conversation with someone different every week. From those conversations, he co-founded Imagine Films with Ron Howard, building one of the most successful movie production companies in the world. Curiosity opens doors. It fuels creativity, deepens connections, and sparks incredible opportunities. What will you get curious about this month? Try something new, ask more questions, and embrace the unknown. Share your curiosity with us at info@meee.global ![]() ![]()
Meee With Anthea Rowan... In our latest Just Meee podcast, Anthea Rowan shares how curiosity helped her navigate life’s toughest challenges... “My friend Eliza says I’m the most curious person she knows. I hadn’t thought about curiosity until then. Some people might just call me nosey. I come with a warning when I’m introduced to new people,“Watch out! She’s about to subject you to the Spanish Inquisition”. I only thought about curiosity when Eliza used the word but that’s me, of course it is. Curiosity has been my saviour and my sanctuary many times. I was 12 when my mother was diagnosed with depression. It was the 1970s. Nobody talked about mental illness then. In order to reconcile myself with my mother’s illness, which didn’t look like any illness I’d ever seen, I began to ask questions about it. Of Mum and Dad whilst he was alive. Later - in my teens - Mum shared her library of books on depression with me. Understanding her illness helped me to understand her. When she had a stroke and developed Pure Alexia, we were told she’d never read again. I read everything I could about Pure Alexia, sought out every expert on the condition I could find, asked all my questions - and taught mum to read again. A bit. My question-asking and curiosity were seasoned by the time demenita presented in Mum’s life. Dementia is a devastating condition - all the changes that presented in mum changed her, bit by bit. Learning about what was happening in her brain helped make those changes less frightening, helped me navigate a very difficult path”. Thank you Anthea.x ![]()
Slow Down And Smell The Coffee... In Chapter 34 of Meee In A Minute, Sid shares the story of a man playing the violin in a Washington DC subway. Over 40 minutes, 1,097 people passed by, only 27 donated, and just seven stopped to listen. It was Joshua Bell, one of the world’s greatest violinists. Days earlier, he had played to a sold-out Boston Symphony Hall, where tickets cost over $100. Yet, in the subway, his incredible talent went largely unnoticed. Like many of us, commuters were too busy to pause and appreciate the beauty around them. Take a Minute™️ to slow down, look around, and notice the magic in everyday moments. ![]()
What If? What if you asked one more question every day? What if you spoke to one more person every day? What if you smiled one more time every day? We often go through life sticking to what we know, but curiosity, connection, and kindness can open doors we never even knew existed. By stepping outside our usual routines, asking that extra question, engaging with someone new, or simply offering a smile, we create opportunities for learning, growth, and deeper human connection. Albert Einstein once said, “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing”. The more we ask, the more we learn. The more we connect, the richer our experiences become. So, what if today, you take that extra step? Be curious. Engage. Smile. You never know what might happen next. ![]()
