The news was announced by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon on 17 February. Outgoing Minister, Ben Macpherson MSP, keeps his Migration brief and becomes Minister for Public Finance and Migration, also taking the lead on identifying ways to fund climate action New UK Secretary of State for International DevelopmentAnne-Marie Trevelyan, MP for Berwick-upon-Tweed, has been appointed new Secretary of State for International Development. She succeeds Alok Sharma MP, who has become the new President of COP26. The Secretary of State met on 27 February with Alliance Board members at a round table discussion held at DFID’s East Kilbride offices.
