Legge: Inspired, in awe, and frankly a little scared
Chamber President Adam Legge recently had the opportunity to attend a session on innovation led by Salim Ismail, the Executive Director of Singularity University, that stopped him dead in his tracks. What he learned changed how he views innovation and the adoption of new technologies.
Mr. Ismail ran through an hour of amazing examples of life-altering technologies, breakthroughs and innovations just on the horizon, but his premise was this: that we have historically viewed innovation, adoption and dissemination as linear. But it isn’t. It is often, in fact usually, exponential. And innovation like this has immense implications for every business.
