A fantastic opportunity to get out and see some of the highlights of John Forrest National Park in comfort and safety.  Explore the historic Swan View Tunnel and take in the beauty of the Glen Brook Dam. This 8km guided hike along the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail provides magnificent views over the city, winter waterfalls and the secret history of the tunnel 'fairy villages' and 'swimming pool' of the early 1900's. 9am start. Darlington Bush & Variety Walk Series - 2020

Flat wide trails presented entirely in excellent bushlands. Big jarrah and marri and wildflowers starting to appear. This easy/flat walk covers a distance of 6.1km. Commences 9am. Grounding brings together three works form the Shire of Mundaring Art Collection which represent ‘productive’ landscapes. This perspective is of particular relevance in the Perth Hills.

The Hike Collective - Kalamunda to Mundaring Guided Hike

This 20km guided hike will take you on an adventure along the iconic Bibbulmun Track from Kalamunda to Mundaring. Enjoy the magnificent wildflowers in bloom as you explore the magic bushlands of the Perth Hills. This hike showcases sweeping views of Beelu National Park, Kalamunda National Park, and Mundaring Weir. A Walk Through Time: Hovea's Forgotten Sussoes"

Join Mundaring & Hills Historical Society on a guided walk to discover the remains of a camp that was occupied by single, unemployed men (sustenance workers), during the Depression. The Camp's life was brief, just seven months in 1931. Evidence can still be seen if you take time to stand still, look at your surroundings and imagine.

Hello Spring! Canoe & SUP hire is back at Lake Leschenaultia

What else would you rather be doing on a nice sunny day? Why not hire a SUP? Glide across the tranquil waters of Lake Leschenaultia - it's easy to learn and lots of fun. For those of you who prefer to sit, there's triple seated canoes for a relaxing paddle. Hire available between 10am-3pm on weekends, pub. hols and every day of the school holidays.

Mundaring District Museum - Head for the Hills - Chidlow's WW2 Army Camps

Exhibition runs throughout September
The new exhibition ‘Head for the Hills’, a collaboration between Mundaring & Hills Historical Society, Friends of the Chidlow WW2 Camps and Heritage Detection Australia. Using artefacts recently retrieved from Chidlow’s former WW2 Army Camps, the exhibition highlights their role in defending Australia following Japan’s entry into WW2 in December 1941. With c. 50 000 troops passing through the Camps from March 1942 until June 1944, the significance of these camps in understanding the military heritage of WA is clear.
