The Calgary Chamber has called on the government to strengthen the Investment Canada Act and provide clear criteria for evaluating foreign takeovers. These demands have been echoed by everyone from industry executives to the editors of the Wall Street Journal and even the NDP – since it is believed that uncertainty on foreign takeovers scares away investors and damages our economy.

Join us as NDP leader Thomas Mulcair discusses why he believes government needs to clarify Canada’s foreign investment laws and shares the measures he would like to see taken to create a climate of certainty for investors.

Regardless of where you sit on the political spectrum, this is an important event to attend – since the ideas being discussed are leading the public discussion on foreign investment.

Corporate social responsibility isn’t a bunch of buzz words. It’s a cost-effective way to bolster your company’s bottom line.

When a business creates and implements a finely tuned CSR strategy it engages employees in a way that changes how they work. They become more passionate about they do. When that happens, they become more productive, more focused on customer service and more likely to contribute to the creation of an energized work environment that helps in the success of your business.

Learn how you can reap the rewards of a CSR strategy.
