He is also currently the CEO & Managing Director of Blockchain Australia and Deputy Chair of the Australian National Blockchain Roadmap Advisory Committee at the Department of Industry, Innovation & Science. William Johns has been appointed to the Financial Planning Association of Australia's board. He is the CEO & Founder of Health & Finance Integrated. Alison Henderson and David Sharpe were re-elected for second terms. Kelly Power and Andrew Boal have been appointed to the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia’s board, replacing Linda Elkins and John McMurtrie. Power is General Manager, Product at Colonial First State while Boal is CEO of Rice Warner. Jo-Anne Bloch, Peter Carrigy-Ryan, Deanne Stewart and Melinda Howes were re-elected. Julia Steward is now Head of Policy & Government Relations at CHOICE. She was serving as Matt Kean's Policy Director until earlier this year. Cuihua Cartwright has moved up to Senior Supervisor, Close & Continuous Monitoring Program at ASIC. Patrick Mitchell is now a Liquidity Specialist at APRA. He previously spent more than two decades with Rabobank, most recently as Managing Director, Head of Treasury, Australia & New Zealand. Brendan O'Driscoll is now a Senior Analyst, Resolution at APRA. He returns to the regulator after a stint at the RBA. Francesco Naismith is now a Director, Consumer Data Right at the ACCC, transitioning from Director, External Affairs at the AER. Among other roles at the ACCC, he formerly served as an Assistant Director in the Financial Services Unit. Justin Untersteiner has been appointed COO of AFCA, effective December 2. He is currently Assistant Commissioner, Integrated Compliance at the ATO. Brad Addison is now Communications Manager, Digital & Australia Transformation at ANZ. He was previously Sportsbet's Head of Government & Corporate Affairs, following four years as a Senior Adviser to Peter Ryan, then Deputy Premier of Victoria. Neil Browne is now Head of Operational Risk & Compliance at Heritage Bank. Most recently at BOQ, he was previously a Managing Director in Standard Chartered Bank's India and Malaysia offices. Simon Burnett is now Special Counsel, Regulatory Investigations & Dispute Resolution at Westpac. He has previously been their acting Head of Regulatory Investigations and Practice Leader, Royal Commission Legal Team. Michael Cameron has been appointed Chair of People’s Choice Credit Union, succeeding John Cossons. Cameron is the former CEO of Suncorp, a role he left earlier this year. Wendy Thorpe, a former executive and board member at AMP, also joined the board. Shirley Cheng is now Head of Retail Banking & Wealth Management Financial Crime Compliance at HSBC Australia. She was previously a Director at KPMG. Steven Galdona is now Chief Credit Officer at MOVE Bank. He was previously the Head of Mortgage Operations & Transformation at BOQ. Angela Gallichan is now Senior Manager, Better Banking at Rabobank. Most recently Senior Manager, Regulatory Risk & Compliance for AMP Bank, she previously held roles at Hall & Willcox and Henry Davis York. Anthony Greenhill has been promoted to Group Chief Controls Officer at CBA. He was most recently their acting Head of Group Audit & Assurance. Sharon Harvey is now Compliance Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs at Rabobank. Most recently Head of Risk & Compliance at Anne Street Partners Financial Services, she previously held roles with Crestone, ClearView, CBA and ANZ. Alexandra Heysen is now a Director in Macquarie's Integrity Office, moving up from Litigation Counsel & Associate Director. John Kim has moved up to Head of Financial, Risk & Regulatory Data at Macquarie. He was previously Chief Product Owner, Wealth Platform Transformation. Leigh O'Neill is now EGM, Consumer Customer Solutions at NAB, transitioning from EGM, Business Direct & Small Business. Paul O'Sullivan has been appointed to the board of ANZ. He currently serves as Chair of both Optus and Western Sydney Airport Corporation, as well as a Non-executive Director of Coca Cola Amatil. Bryce Quirk has been bumped up to General Manager, Advice Relationships at Colonial First State. Lisa Rayner is now Head of Consumer Legal at NAB. She was previously Director, Risk & Compliance at IFM Investors and, before that, Executive Manager, Risk & Compliance at Industry Fund Services. Amanda Resurreccion is now a Public Relations & Corporate Affairs Specialist at Teachers Mutual Bank. She was previously a Senior Executive at BlueChip Communication. Dianne Shay has been promoted to Head of Payments Industry at NAB. Tommie Smith has been promoted to General Manager, Safe Sound Secure at CBA, up from Head of Group Operations Risk. She joined the bank earlier this year from APRA, where she was Chief Internal Auditor. Dean Thomas is now Chief Advice Officer at Mortgage Choice. He was previously Managing Director of Hillross Financial Services, following roles at AMP, NAB, BT and St.George Bank. Mike Vacy-Lyle will replace Adam Bennett as CBA's Group Executive, Business & Private Banking in February 2020. Vacy-Lyle is currently CEO of FNB Commercial Banking, the largest commercial bank in Africa. James Webb is now Head of Operations & Business Optimisation at BOQ. He joins from CBA, where he was most recently General Manager, Bank Financial Planning. Jason Yetton will leave his role as CEO, NewCo at CBA in January 2020. Steven York is now Executive Director, Financial Crime & Anti-Bribery & Corruption at CBA. He was most recently BOQ's General Manager, Group Compliance & Chief Security Officer. Andrea Bisogni has been appointed Group Company Secretary at IOOF. She returns to the fold following roles at UniSuper and McMillan Shakespeare, having previously served as IOOF's Group General Counsel. Stephen Doulgeridis is now General Manager of Superannuation Advisors Australia. He is the former founder and CEO of Justsuper and, more recently, a General Manager at SuperConcepts. Cheryl McLachlan is now a Senior Legal Counsel at AustralianSuper. She was previously a Legal Counsel at Jemena and a Senior Associate at Piper Alderman. Cindy Ong has left her role as Head of Middle Office/Investment Operations at Sunsuper. Carolyn Tait is now Head of Member Experience at Club Plus Super. She previously held Head of Marketing roles at Macquarie, AMP and CBA. Energy Super had a few notable starters in September: Carleen Fitzsimon is now the Fund Secretary, Michael Mahabeer is now Head of Risk, and Lisa Swenson joined as an In-house Counsel. Maria Wilton has been appointed to the Australia Post Superannuation Scheme board. Formerly the Managing Director of Franklin Templeton Investments Australia, she is the current Deputy Chair of Infrastructure Victoria, among other board appointments. Simon Allen has been appointed as an Independent Non-executive Director on IAG's board, along with a bump up to Chair of IAG New Zealand. Allen is the former CEO of BZW/ABN AMRO in New Zealand and was the inaugural Chair of NZX Limited and of the Financial Markets Authority. Naoko Aoo is now a Compliance Manager at Hollard. She was previously an Associate with Clyde & Co. Andrea Croy has been promoted to General Manager, Pacific at QBE. Maysem Elmaet is now Deputy General Counsel, Commercial Lines at QBE Australia, moving up and over from QBE Asia Pacific. Nigel Fitzgerald has been appointed CEO of AIG Australia, effective December 10. Most recently CEO of Fairfax International Australasia, his previous roles include CEO of Advent Capital Holdings in London and Senior Vice President at Crum & Forster and Liberty International Underwriters. He replaces Noel Condon who has been with the insurer for 35 years. Liam Geddes is now Risk & Compliance Manager, Human Resources at Allianz. He joins from CBA, where he was most recently Senior Manager, Human Resources Line 1 Risk. Gina Kouroutzoglou is now a Senior Communications Adviser at Suncorp. Her previous roles include Senior Communications Manager at St.George and Westpac. John Myler has been appointed CEO of Auto & General, effective January 2020. Most recently CEO of RACQ Insurance, he previously held a number of executive roles at Allianz. He replaces Ram Kangatharan who has been promoted to Group Managing Director & CEO, Asia Pacific. Sallyann Thomas is now Head of Risk & Compliance, Personal Lines at Hollard. She was most recently Executive Manager, Risk & Controls - Data & Decision Science at CBA. Tatyana Virgara is now General Counsel & Company Secretary at QBE Australia, replacing Pita Williams, who finished up last month. Virgara was previously a Partner at Hicksons and General Counsel & Company Secretary at Aussie. Gary Briggs has been appointed to the board of Afterpay. He is the former Chief Marketing Officer for Facebook and previously led marketing for Motorola Mobility, Google, eBay and PayPal. Dickson Chu has been appointed to Verrency's global advisory board. Currently BBVA's Global Head of Portfolio Management, he previously held executive digital payments roles with Yahoo!, PayPal, Citi and Ingo Money. Danila Di Trocchio is now Global Head of Remuneration & Benefits at Afterpay. She joined from EY and was previously a Remuneration Manager at ANZ. Peter Egan has been appointed Group Chief Risk Officer at Cash Converters. He joins from BOQ where he was Chief Risk Officer, Retail Banking. Jon Moodie, former Managing Director of Macquarie Leasing, is now CEO of Allied Credit. Russell Bryant, also formerly of Macquarie Leasing, joins him as COO. Bryant had been more recently serving as Executive Director, Policy for the Australian Finance Industry Association. Michael Murphy has been appointed CFO of Cash Converters. He was most recently CFO, International Financial Services at CBA. Alexandra Rose has been appointed General Counsel & Head of Risk at Thorn Group. She was most recently Head of Compliance Regulatory Reporting at Allianz. Oliver Somanader is now Head of Enterprise Risk at Latitude Financial Services, transitioning from Head of Operational Risk. Pete Young is now General Manager, Latitude Money at Latitude Financial Services. He was most recently Head of Digital Product Experience & Delivery at Australia Post. Ian Laughlin, former APRA Deputy Chair, is now a Principal at PFS Consulting. He is currently Chair of the AICD's APRA Forum and recently chaired the OnePath Life Insurance, OnePath General Insurance and ANZ Lenders Mortgage Insurance boards. ASIC Commissioner Sean Hughes, Athena Home Loans Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Michael Starkey and NAB Director of Securitisation Stephen McCabe will speak at the 2019 Australian Securitisation Forum Conference on November 18 and 19.
