Nathanael’s Rest offers the opportunity for people to experience walking a labyrinth. Labyrinths are patterns created on the ground which facilitate walking meditation, or simply providing time and space to reflect.

Help to celebrate World Numbat Day and head along to the Kookaburra Outdoor Cinema, set in the magical forests of Mundaring. There'll be kids' numbat activities from 6:30pm, a raffle with some great prizes up for grabs, plus a special "one night only" screening of the great Australian movie Oddball.

Sunday 5 November
The Midland and Districts Historical Society Inc. invites you to join them on a guided walk commencing from the old Swan View Railway Station.
Dr Shane Burke - Senior Lecturer, Archaeology & History at Notre Dame University will lead the walk, following the route of the Eastern Railway through Swan View Tunnel and to National Park Falls, returning to Swan View Railway Station for refreshments. 10am-1pm. Find out more here

This month hundreds of swimmers will converge on Lake Leschenaultia. Swimming WA has nominated the Open Water event as one of its targeted swims. Start times will be staggered with the 400m novice event (open to age 9+) hitting the water first at 9.45am, followed by the main event, a 1.6km swim. Hosted by Maida Vale Masters. Find out more.

This musical journey takes you into the fantasy realm of Rudyard Kipling as his beloved characters spring from the page to the stage in this musical romp through the jungles of India. Join the man-cub Mowgli on his journey to becoming a man as he faces off against the dreaded Tiger Shere Khan. 

This fun-filled comedy is sure to please audiences of the young and young at heart.

Saturday 18 November
Be a part of this Medieval themed festival for all the family. Set around the grounds and amphitheatre of Mundaring Weir Hotel, there will be loads of entertainment, displays and market stalls throughout the day. Glen Forrest Artisan Market is usually held on the first Sunday of the month, however to avoid clashing with the iconic Darlington Arts Festival on Sunday 5 November, this month's markets have been re-scheduled for this month only. Glen Forrest Artisan Market features: arts & crafts, community stalls and children's activities. Markets are open 11am - 4pm.

Food vans will be offering a selection of eats and there's live music too!  The Sports Club bar will be open from 12 noon.

Throughout the month of November
Since 1830 when exploration parties, accompanied by pack-horses, first ventured over Western Australia’s Darling Range in search of greener pastures, horses’ hoofprints have made a mark on the Hills’ landscape. Whether used for ploughing, warfare, transportation, entertainment or therapy, horses have been integral in shaping and enriching the Shire of Mundaring’s past and present.

This exhibition, presented by Mundaring and Hills Historical Society, celebrates the horse, and the many and varied ways humans have interacted with these magnificent animals over the years.
