Kookaburra Cinema celebrates World Numbat Day

Help to celebrate World Numbat Day and head along to the Kookaburra Outdoor Cinema, set in the magical forests of Mundaring. The Midland and Districts Historical Society Inc. invites you to join them on a guided walk commencing from the old Swan View Railway Station.

Lake Leschenaultia Open Water Swim

This month hundreds of swimmers will converge on Lake Leschenaultia. Swimming WA has nominated the Open Water event as one of its targeted swims. Start times will be staggered with the 400m novice event (open to age 9+) hitting the water first at 9.45am, followed by the main event, a 1.6km swim. Hosted by Maida Vale Masters. Find out more.

Medieval Festival & Feast at Mundaring Weir Hotel

Mundaring District Museum - Hoof Prints in the Hills

Throughout the month of November
Since 1830 when exploration parties, accompanied by pack-horses, first ventured over Western Australia’s Darling Range in search of greener pastures, horses’ hoofprints have made a mark on the Hills’ landscape. Whether used for ploughing, warfare, transportation, entertainment or therapy, horses have been integral in shaping and enriching the Shire of Mundaring’s past and present.

This exhibition, presented by Mundaring and Hills Historical Society, celebrates the horse, and the many and varied ways humans have interacted with these magnificent animals over the years.
