Port Metro Vancouver Container Trucking Strategy
Late last year, Port Metro Vancouver launched a stakeholder engagement process to develop a broadly supported, long-term strategy for the container trucking sector. The goal – to enhance the sector’s global position as a sustainable and competitive supply chain leader. To help shape the strategy, two workshops with container sector stakeholders were held in May, 2012. Representatives from trucking and shipping companies, terminals, off-dock facilities, regulators, owner-operators, rail companies and unions, as well as individual drivers were invited to participate.
