Bruce New in Kentucky

until September 16, 2017

"Bruce New: The Night is Only a Dream" at Kentucky Folk Art Center features more than 60 of the artist's collages, drawings and paintings. From an early age, New was interested in art, inspired by comic books and the work of an uncle who was an artist. During the last few years, his work has been presented in dozens of exhibitions in galleries across the world, including New York, Tokyo, Houston, Chicago, Santa Fe and Morehead.

Christopher Kane's Gugging Inspiration

until mid-August 2017

London-based fashion designer Christopher Kane's most recent look book was shot at the Gugging Gallery in Austria. Kane says he has always been a fan of Outsider Art and, in some way or another, it has always informed his work. For Pre-Fall 2017, he was drawn to the work of Gugging artists Heinrich Reisenbauer and Johann Korec. He wanted to bring Reisenbauer and Korec’s art to life in clothes that embody naivety and sophistication. This installation will be followed by one featuring Ionel Talpazan's paintings and sculptures, as his work is featured as a print in the Autumn/Winter 2017 collection.
