Council votes to extend popular Outdoor Dining and Activation ProgramFrankston City Council has extended the Outdoor Dining and Activation Program to 31 October to enable a review, including broad community consultation. That means the lovely parklets, improved street scapes and outdoor dining will continue into Spring. Following significant positive feedback received from permit holders and businesses, the extended program will allow for a review including broad community consultation. Councillors voted at the 28 June Council Meeting to adopt the 2021 – 2025 Council Plan and Budget. Council worked in partnership with the community to shape this year’s Budget, undertaking a robust and inclusive deliberative engagement process involving pop-up events, face-to-face and online forums, surveys, the hearing of public submissions and an extensive social media campaign. The Federal Government has committed $3 million toward the major development, with Frankston City Council adding $3,488,626 to ensure the project is fully funded. Lloyd Park is home to the Langwarrin Football Netball Club, Langwarrin Junior Football Club, Langwarrin Junior Netball Club, Langwarrin Cricket Club and Langwarrin Tennis Club. Households will be randomly selected to participate in the survey and participation is voluntary, anonymous and confidential. Rural households will be included via post.
