SMSNA Fall Meeting: Scientific Program
Experts recommend that men with depression be screened for erectile dysfunction (ED) and vice versa, according to a recent Journal of Sexual Medicine report.
After conducting two meta-analyses of 49 studies involving over 192,000 men, the authors concluded that the two conditions are risk factors for each other.
ED risk for men with depression increased by 39%, they said. And men with ED were almost three times more likely to be depressed than men with healthy erections.
Please see more details on the study here.
