Hopefully you've kept warm and dry through this wet and wild week!

As the end of semester one inches closer, the cold weather makes it easier to appreciate being indoors and in a blanket - even if that is coupled with study.
If you need a study break, swing by the Kick Back Shack - a chill out space on level four of Hub Central - to play board games, flip through comic books or relax in massage chairs.

If you can't access an online service over the weekend, check whether it's affected by the service outage from 6 pm 14 June to 8 am 17 June. If it's not on that list, contact ITDS Service Desk.

Sell your old bike!
Have a bike to sell? Treadly on Campus will buy your bike, service it and have a fleet of discount bikes ready for new owners to purchase in early Semester 2.

Free legal service
A free legal service is available weekly during the academic year and can assist with matters such as family law, traffic and minor criminal offences, tenancy, debt and neighbour disputes. Advice is provided by qualified Legal Practitioners. For an appointment please phone Student Care 83135430

Completing your honours or postgrad coursework?
If you're in financial need and commencing the last semester of an Honours or Postgraduate Coursework program in 2019, you may be eligible for the A R Riddle Grants.

Submission deadline extended – the Undergraduate Awards
Eligible students still have time to submit their best coursework for the chance to win a trip to Dublin, Ireland. Submit up to three of your most outstanding papers/assignments/projects completed during your undergraduate degree before 16 June - find out more.

Kristy Kolc nominated for Ross Wishart Memorial Award
Congratulations to Kristy Kolc, for being nominated for the Ross Wishart Memorial Award at the Australian Society for Medical Research (ASMR) Scientific Meeting in Adelaide.
Kristy's research focuses on an early onset seizure disorder “Girls Clustering Epilepsy” (GCE). Congratulations on the nomination, Kristy!

APEN Conference
September 12 to 13 - Darwin
APEN (Australasia-Pacific Extension Network) is the leading organisation for the community of extension practitioners. Extension is about working with people to enable and facilitate change - the student package includes discounted (50%) registration, preconference workshops, 3 Minute Research sessions and student networking. We also have a prize for the best student paper presentation at the concurrent sessions.
