Welcome

Welcome to this special edition of The Precinct e-newsletter, dedicated to public consultation for the Cairns Performing Arts Centre.

Council would like to know what you think of CPAC and encourages you to provide feedback before 4pm on Friday 4 December. Scroll to the bottom of this email for five ways you can be involved

Please note that this public consultation process is separate to the statutory public notification period under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009, which will be undertaken as part of the Development Application for the Theatre.

The Cairns Performing Arts Centre will provide amazing views over the redeveloped Munro Martin Parklands - together these two venues form The Precinct.

A large external terrace will double as a meeting are before shows and during intermission and can be a small, intimate performance space in its own right.

Ground floor foyer space has more than doubled, and is complemented with a separate balcony-level foyer

The new theatre has 941 sets, including balcony and box seating, in the main auditorium and a further 400 seats in the studio theatre.
