Voluntary Course for Online Expertise
The University of Central Florida’s newest faculty development program for online courses, IDL7000 is a voluntary program for IDL6543 certified faculty who wish to refresh, expands, or enhance their online teaching experiences. IDL7000 will be offered during each fall semester. Participation in this 6-week course is voluntary, and participants must complete the required activities in order to obtain a Certificate of Completion. Topics covered include: CDL Services (e.g., Video Team, Graphics Team, Mobile and eTextbooks), UCF Services (e.g., UCF Library, Office of Instructional Resources, and Student Academic Resource Center), and External Resources (e.g., Open Educational Resources, Universal Design for Learning, and Emerging Technologies). Sabbatical Applications Due Jan. 10
The Jan. 10 deadline for Sabbatical applications is approaching. Eligible applicants have received the application and are asked to submit their application via email to Dr. Jana Jasinski, and are asked to CC Zachary Knauer and their department chair/director. Applicants who are eligible for Sabbatical and have not received the application may download it below.
Encourage Students to Apply to an NSC Scholarship
NSC students can qualify for up to 20 scholarships found on the College of Sciences website. Scholarships will be awarded at the end of the Spring semester and applications are open from Jan. 1 - Mar. 31, 2017. Please encourage students to apply at www.sciences.ucf.edu/scholarships.

BFSA Awards and Scholarships Available
Knights Helping Knights Pantry Now Offering Blazer Rentals
Knights Helping Knights Pantry is proud to announce a new Blazer rental program, "Knightro's Suits", available to all students. Blazers can be rented free of charge at Knights Helping Knights Pantry for up to five days. All students have to do is provide their ID to receive a blazer. Knights Helping Knights Pantry is open Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you know of any students who need to dress up for a professional occasion, and would appreciate this program, please let them know about it.
Public Administration Research Conference (PARC)
Call for Submissions
The Center for Public and Nonprofit Management (CPNM) at the University of Central Florida’s School of Public Administration will host its 11th annual Public Administration Research Conference (PARC). This conference calls for presentations from scholars and practitioners alike, that examine how to prepare public and nonprofit managers to engage in inter-organizational collaboration and manage in a networked world. The deadline for submission is Dec. 15, 2016. Please submit your research proposal to cpnm@ucf.edu. Generator Maintenance and Testing - Dec. 20
Please see the Generator Maintenance and Testing will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at NSC. While there should be no impacts to the building and impacts outside should be minimal, it is important that the area around the generator is clear of all vehicles, to allow access.
