Stories where leadership went beyond family medicine departments and potentially led to health systems' leaders placing a higher value on family medicine are especially pertinent.
Joint Guidelines for Protected Non-Clinical Time for Faculty in Family Medicine Residency Programs
STFM asks the task force and the ACGME to give review committees the autonomy to define the amount of time their faculty needs to meet their administrative responsibilities and accreditation requirements while devoting sufficient time and attention to preparing residents for future independent practice.

Nominate a Resident for the Resident Teacher Award
The Resident Teacher Award recognizes teaching contributions by residents. Each family medicine residency program can give this award annually to the resident who has best-demonstrated interest in and commitment to family medicine education.
