It is a 12-week personal development programme to help unemployed young people aged 16 - 24 build confidence, meet new people, acquire new skills and gain a qualification.
The programme runs Monday to Friday for 12 weeks and includes community projects, work placement and a team building residential experience. As part of the course, young people also spend some time developing their CV and interview skills to help them take the next step. For more information please contact your local programme lead: Aylesbury Team: Heloise Stankard, 07827 947306, eloisestankard@adviza.org.uk Bracknell Team: Jasmine Roberts, 07827 947315, jasmineroberts@adviza.org.uk Reading Team: Lee Teideman, 077477 60882, leeteideman@adviza.org.uk Reach Up Reach Up is a mixture of fun creative youth work and more traditional work readiness skills building sessions, with modules around CV writing, confidence building, work shadowing, social action and mock interviews. Young people who have taken part on Reach Up have left with a greater understanding of how to source and apply to roles, build their personal brand, increased levels of confidence in themselves and gained knowledge in the types of roles available at organisations like Coca Cola. Reach Up has actively reduced NEET status’ through supporting young people to re-engage with education, entering into employment and other training schemes. 62% of the participants in 2020 who completed the programme self-reported that they were no longer NEET immediately after the programme. Adviza will deliver Reach Up to one cohort of 10 – 15 young people in Oxfordshire starting 2nd August 2021. To find out more please contact: Jemma Disney, 07827947344, jemmadisney@adviza.org.uk
